This bridge is a Howe truss built in 1857. It is a single span of 152 feet. The bridge carries Rensselaer County Road 103 and Washington County Route 59. It crosses the Hoosic River between Washington and Rensselaer Counties making it the only historic covered bridge in New York spanning two counties.

The park on the north side of the bridge is an excellent area to take photographs of this bridge. Easy access under bridge on south side, good for underside and panoramic photos.

Parking available on the Rensselaer County side of bridge.

Additional Information
This bridge has been closed for over three year due to problems with the bottom chord. The construction project to rebuild the bridge is progressing in early 2005 with an anticipated opening of about May 2005.
